Letters - 1979 - February 15 - Harrison to Rell G. Francis
Steve Harris acted like he owned my grandfather.  The deviousness is horrifying.  Seeing this happen, even after the fact, to someone you loved, is heart-rending.

I grew up on stories about him, told to me by my father.  Grandfather seemed like a mythical hero in those stories, far more wonderful than a super hero.  And, ironically, when I started researching him myself I was stunned because I had assumed Dad had exaggerated.  He didn't.   Grandfather was not perfect - but he had a passion for life and nature; he wanted everyone to see how precious every living thing is to all of us.
