The Foley Guide, produced by Daniel Joseph Foley, was the go to source for information on where to stay, what to see, transportation and every other imaginable need. Yosemite Falls Studio, the Foley business in Yosemite, was located in the Old Village. The first Foley publication was The Yosemite Tourist, which carried light gossip and updates on who had arrived in the Valley.

Advertising in the Foley Guide was a routine for all Yosemite businesses. Most businesses were small, run mostly by the owners and family. One full book will eventually be up here for perusal. These are hard to find and expensive.
